Resource Highlight: MCAA’s Radio Frequency Radiation Exposure and Protection Safety Training Video & Materials

October 10, 2025

Mechanical service technicians frequently work on rooftops where telecommunications antennas are present, so it’s important that they be aware of the hazards associated with the radio frequency radiation these antennas emit. MCAA’s Radio Frequency Radiation Exposure and Protection Safety Training Video & Materials educate technicians about these hazards, and the steps they can take to avoid overexposure. They’re just a few of MCAA’s educational resources that are free to MCAA members as a benefit of membership.

Your workers will learn about:

  • Potential rooftop RF exposures
  • Safe work practices
  • Additional protective measures for situations when standard safe work practices may not provide enough protection

The video comes with a pocket guide that highlights key training points, a training documentation sheet, a 20-question multiple choice test, and a test answer key.
